“What’s in My Bag?”: The Hot Girl Essentials
By Stella Violet
Hi Gut Instinct, I’m Stella Violet and this is what’s in my bag.
It should be no surprise that I own over 50 purses. However, my ‘Kate Spade Madison Saffiano’ is my daily driver. She’s not only affordable, in case I get robbed, but she’s big enough to hold everything I need throughout the day.
She’s customized with random charms, a pair of mini ballet slippers and a rosary. Currently, she holds everything I could need in case of an apocalypse, sleepover or flight.
This is one-half of what I keep in my bag at all times, so let’s break it down.
On the right, I have all of my keys, but don’t be fooled. These keys never have a set spot and are constantly getting lost in my bag. One is for my car, duh. The other is for my super cool high-rise apartment and the other is a super secret storage unit where I hide all my secrets (and exes).
Hot girls also have some sort of neon colored mini-lighter, mine is hot pink.
Every Instagram enthusiast has to have a digital camera to iPhone converter, batteries and charger so her camera is never dead, and her digi-cam (not pictured.)
This one’s a bit controversial, but tampons from last month’s visit from Aunt Flo. Guys, I’m only human and this was before the tampon/lead crisis.
Towards the top left, without a doubt, you will find random earrings and loose pieces of jewelry, and they never match!
And, every hot girl must pair loose jewelry with loose change. How is it that I never carry cash but always end up with loose coins?
Then, of course, sunglasses. This is a pretty tame version of sunglasses in my purse, but that’s because I have at least three more pairs in my car.
Another tame day in my Kate Spade for receipts, but there are always at least two receipts in my purse, along with my mascara, lip liner and lip gloss.
Hot girls cannot afford to smell in this heat, and my current obsession is the Maison Francis Kurkdjian Baccarat Rouge 540.
Personally, this perfume is the most expensive one I’ve ever owned and, in my opinion, lives up to the hype. I’ve had multiple people stop me and ask what perfume I use, that’s how good it is.
Another perfume I love is Dolce & Gabbana's Light Blue. I got it as a gift last year and she has over half her life left and smells amazing.
And, last but not least, my favorite go-to deodorant, Old Spice’s “Wilderness with Lavender.”
Girls, never and repeat, never, use women’s deodorant. Maybe it’s because summer here is 110+ degrees, but I truly believe men’s deodorant is the only one that lasts.
Some honorable “hot girl essentials” are any form of headphones, but especially wired ones that are all tangled in your bag. A bikini and sunscreen, because you never know when you’ll find yourself at a pool. And, random cards and flyers people hand you at the store.
That’s all for now, thanks for coming along on a “hot girl essentials” bag tour. See you soon.
