Red Carpet Recap: The Fashion Winners of the 2025 Grammys

By Stella Violet

The 67th Annual Grammy Awards, held on February 2, 2025, at Los Angeles’s Crypto.com Arena, was a night of musical excellence and high fashion.

However, this year’s event carried a deeper sense of unity and gratitude. In the wake of the devastating California wildfires that swept through parts of the state, displacing thousands and threatening historic landmarks, the Recording Academy extended a special invitation to a group of firefighters who had been on the front lines battling the wildfires.

As the biggest names in the industry arrived, the red carpet transformed into a dazzling showcase of bold statements, avant-garde designs, and timeless elegance. The evening’s fashion choices reflected not only the individuality, but the artistry of each performer.

Now, let’s take a closer look at the standout ensembles that defined the evening, setting the tone for fashion in the year ahead.

Chappell Roan - Jean Paul Gaultier

Chappell Roan showed up at the Grammy’s in a 2003 Jean Paul Gaultier dress from the spring/summer couture collection complete with original feathered headpiece.

She matched her glam to her dress with a deep cherry lip and a blue-and-gold eyeshadow look which complemented her look and showcased her unique sense of style.

In an interview with the Associated Press, Roan discussed what the Grammys means to her tonight in light of the California wildfires.

“We lost so much. Like my community was lost,” she said. “I take [that] so seriously. But like the fun of art and drag, I hold on to joy in these times and like, really lift the girls up, because we all lost. It affected us all. Just to be here at like such an iconic Grammys, I feel very honored. Yeah, at a point where it’s poignant and really really means a lot for people to donate.”

Charli XCX - Jean Paul Gaultier

First-time Grammy Award-winning artist, Chali XCX arrived on the red carpet in a dress designed by Jean Paul Gaultier. The look was inspired by the Couture runway show that walked only three days ago.

The look is very much Charli, with a signature tulle skirt and cinched waist. Her glam featured the singer’s signature face tape, nude gloss and brown smokey eye.

Lady Gaga - Vivienne Westwood

Arriving in Vivienne Westwood as her seventh studio album approaches, Lady Gaga seemingly showed up straight out of a Victorian Gothic novel.

She is also wearing a never-before-seen necklace from the Tiffany archives. A gold, with pearls, and black onyx piece with pale green tourmaline hangs in the center designed by Meta Overbeck under the direction of Louis Comfort Tiffany LCT.

Troye Sivan - Prada

The most daring look to come from a man on the red carpet was worn by none other than Troye Sivan, designed by Prada.

The hues of lavender and lilac complimented Sivan’s look styled by Marc Forne, felt like the perfect introduction to spring. The slim scarf was a daring choice and it paid off.

As a long-time ambassador for Prada, it was a simple choice for Sivan to go with Prada, and it looked great.

Cardi B - Roberto Cavalli

Cardi B showed up to the 2025 Grammys in a gold and black Roberto Cavalli dress, made complete with a feathered bottom.

I didn’t expect to love this look as much as I did, but she looked great! Her hair and makeup made this look come together and mixed old Hollywood with her signature gold accent.
